Addie Leger (1996-Feb. 23, 2008)
Today we had to say goodbye to our beloved family pet, Addie. She had been sick for some time now but she would always "perk" up for one of us- until today. It was a difficult afternoon - especially for Bryce. She was such a good dog for our family and she welcomed in every new child we brought home- she would protect them like her own! I can vividly remember how when Bryce was about 4 yrs old he would go outside and sit beside Addie and just talk to her forever- like she understood him! Once Bryce was old enough it became his "job" to feed and water Addie. Addie LOVED to dig holes underneath our deck and Brady would love to get in the holes with her- they were buddies as well! And when she heard an ambulance she would howl just like "Snoopy" could- head thrown straight back and lips puckered out! We have so many fond memories with her. She will truly be missed!
