WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!

PRINCESS MOSHI or MO!

This past Saturday our family grew! We brought home a 2 year old Bichon Frish. We have been on a waiting list for a rescue Bichon for the past couple of months. Our dear friend and neighbor Miss Carolyn has a rescue Bichon named "Miss Emma" and our family has always been in love with her. So after much patience we brought her home on Sat. (incidentally the same day we came home from our beach vacation! more to come on that subject later!) So far Moshi (the name she came with- and a name that the boys love because it sounds similar to their favorite video game) is doing well. She is house trained and crate trained. She is however a little "shy" of the kids- especially Brady. (But lets face it- Brady's personality is a little "over powering"!) But she is a sweet dog and loves to sit in your lap and be rubbed! Steven says she is a "Fru-Fru" dog or a "lap" dog. Just what this "wild" family needs!!!

PS this is Bryson her name is not princess moshi IT IS MOSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our Boys are back from Puerto Rico! Steven and Blake left last Sunday for a mission trip with the church to Puerto Rico. They had an "awesome" experience! Blake had an opportunity to use his newly acquired Spanish- he worked in an inner city "mercy" house in San Juan. Steven's team built a Sunday school building (pictured above) for a rural church in Carolina, a city near San Juan. When they were not working the group took a hike in the rain forest, went to the area beaches and on Saturday they rented a large sail boat and toured the islands off shore and went snorkeling! They arrived home around 8:00 tonight and needless to say they are both exhausted! The rest of the "gang" has really missed them- but we have had our own adventures this week- kinda "staycation" of sorts. We had a great week- but we (me especially) are glad that Daddy and Blake are home!

Well it FINALLY happened- Brady Leger has lost his 1st tooth!!

Brady has wanted this to happen ever since he was old enough to understand the Tooth Fairy phenomenon! All of his friends have been losing their teeth since Kindergarten- he thought he was the last person to lose a tooth! According to him it was NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!! Saturday we spent the day out on the boat and it was there that Brady felt his tooth was beginning to become loose- and tonight I caught him in the bathroom mirror with a string wrapped around his tooth. I helped him tie the knot but he did all the pulling! He was so excited it was so cute. He put the tooth in a bag with a note attached. He wrote the Tooth Fairy to ask if (it) was a boy or a girl and what is (its) name. We will let you know what he finds out!Posted by Picasa

June 1oth Ladi Elizabeth's 6th Birthday!
This was Ladi's first big birthday bash- 10 little girls- dressed in princess outfits- 1 Cinderella from Disney World- crafts- sweets- and LOTS of glitter!!!! I must admit I had been planning this event for many years! And I think it was wonderful! Ladi Elizabeth loved every minute of her party! As my mother says, "Ladi Elizabeth can sniff out princess!" She is so into all of that kind of stuff; so of course this was a total princess party. The girls were so excited to all be together and even more excited about the arrival of the special guest- Cinderella! So when Cinderella arrived I thought that the girls would "bombard" her and want to ask her so many questions- But when she came into the living room all the girls became silent. No one would speak- they just sat there in awe!!! I became worried at that point because Cinderella was going to be there for an entire hour!!! But Cinderella being a Princess and all she knew exactly how to handle little "star struck" girls. (after the party I told Cinderella that I was a bit concerned in the beginning- and she said that was how all little girls act when they first see her!) She started slow by reading them a princess book and then she helped them decorate tiara cookies and by the time they were eating lunch the girls could barely eat because they were all talking to her! Ladi Elizabeth was sitting in her lap by the time cake was served! Then Ladi asked Cinderella to see her room- this was precious! Ladi said, "Hey I have some books about you- see there you are right there!" They were asking so many questions about being a princess and living in the castle and the prince home by himself and how she survived living with the wicked stepmother and many more! Cinderella was having such a great time that she stayed longer than we anticipated! But she had to stay to help Ladi open her birthday gifts! After the party Ladi Elizabeth kept thanking Steven and I for her birthday party! I don't think she will ever forget it- I know I will not!! Oh and the glitter- well it will serve as a reminder- it was all over our house- in furniture- on carpets- in dinning room chairs- and in the cracks between the hard wood floors! I love it! Joys of having a little girl in the house!

Ladi Elizabeth's day out with Grandma Dodie! Ladi had been counting down the days up to Dodie's arrival. So as soon as Dodie came to town she was ready to go! First to get mani's and pedi's at "Sweet and Sassy" and then lunch at Ladi Elizabeth's favorite restaurant- Brixx Pizza- she loves to play with the pizza dough! They had a blast! Dodie said Ladi talked the entire way to the spa and didn't stop until she ate lunch! On the way home Dodie reported that Ladi became very quiet and she asked her if she was ok? Ladi Elizabeth said that she was NOT tired But she just wanted to close her eyes. Well, 2 minutes later she was out! When they drove into the driveway Ladi Elizabeth was sound asleep! Dodie and Ladi Elizabeth said this was going to be "their" annual date- "Ladi Elizabeth's birthday outing"!

This weekend Ladi Elizabeth went to her friends' birthday parties at "Sweet and Sassy". (the name says it all!) It is a totally girls spa and boutique ! Ladi Elizabeth has talked about going there but I have been waiting until she was a "little older". And I knew once she went in there she would absolutely love it and ask to go ALL the time! We did have a wonderful time at the Princess Birthday party. Ladi Elizabeth loved being with all of her girl buddies- and of course they all dressed up and had their nails and hair done! Ladi Elizabeth loved the sparkle hairspray that they use! It puts glitter all over you!!! After getting all dressed-up the girls danced and sang to princess songs- they were so funny and it was so sweet to see Ladi Elizabeth with her friends.

Last night Ladi Elizabeth had her first dance recital. She started taking dance when school started last fall. The class meets every Wed. right after preschool and it is held at preschool- so we never have to travel! And all her "buddies" from preschool are in her class! She had such a good time! When I picked her up from backstage the first thing she said was, "Where are "The Brother's" and did they see me?" She was so proud of herself and we were so proud of her too! As Steven and I were sitting there watching her on stage we both were thinking that last year this very night we were flying over the ocean to meet her again and bring her home! All I can say is- God is so GREAT; thank you.

Mother's Day! My first Mother's Day with Ladi Elizabeth and it was absolutely perfect! On Saturday, mom, Ladi Elizabeth and I went out to eat lunch together and have her dance recital pictures taken. It was such a wonderful day- just the three of us celebrating together. Then on Sunday we went to church with mom and dad- the church I grew up in and Steven and I were married in. AS you can see mom had flowers for the three of us to wear. After church we spent the day out on the boat and on the island. We docked at a local restaurant for lunch so mom and I did not have to "work" at all that day! I couldn't think of a better way to spend Mother's day- with my children, my husband and my mom and dad! I truly felt so blessed!

Opening night of Brady's play! It was a wonderful weekend! The play was a huge success! Friday night we had all of our family and friends join us- Brady was so excited! He did so well- we are so proud of him! He knew all of his lines- and the other actor's lines as well! He was such a "ham"! (remember he was "Sleepy" Dwarf). There was so much talent on that stage- we couldn't believe they were all kids! And the director and choreographer did an excellent job! The theater was full for every performance-yes I went to all three- and I got to help backstage Sat. night (what an education!). We all think this is only the beginning of Brady's acting career ;)
