A Star Is Born! (Well, we think so anyway!)
This past weekend Brady had another audition for the local children's theater. The play is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs- we all thought Brady would make a great dwarf! And apparently the director thought so too and he was cast as "Sleepy" dwarf. Brady is very excited; especially because he didn't think he had done well for the audition (he came home from the audition crying and saying he never wanted to go again- he said he got "shy" and didn't know what to do- well turns out he was coming down with a cold and was running a temperature of 102- explains why he was not himself- so we thought that was it for this play- well on Monday we got a phone call from the director offering Brady the part- they said that Brady had them laughing during the audition and he was perfect for "Sleepy" dwarf- they had no clue he was "sick" or not himself that day- I guess they thought he was "pretending" or "acting" the part!) Anyway, Brady had his first practice today! (they don't waste any time!) He is the youngest actor and everyone thought he was "soooo cute"! (lots of tweens and teens- very dramatic!) Before practice started I was watching and listening to the other actors and I was overwhelmed with the talent and enthusiasm! (it was like watching Hannah Montana "LIVE"!) It should be a learning experience for both Brady and myself! After practice on the way home we put in the CD of the music from the play- I bet all the Legers will know all the words to all the songs by the time May gets here! Oh by the way if ya want to see the dwarf in action the play dates are May 1, 2, and 3! And please no paparazzi!!!!

On Friday Ladi Elizabeth and I went on a field trip with her preschool class to the aquarium! We were so excited to go (we had not taken Ladi yet!). They have been talking about sea life in her classroom and studying all the animals in the ocean. Ladi really wanted to see the seahorses; they are her favorite sea animal!

Scuba divers in the tank! So exciting that they were both "girls". According to Ladi, "They are very brave girls to go into the tank!". And one of the girl's name was "Jasmine"; which we all know is the name of a very famous Disney Princess! So that means she is a Princess Scuba Diver!

Waiting "patiently" for the scuba divers to arrive!

Ladi telling her "buddy" Lydia about the divers coming into the tank.

Ladi wasn't sure if she wanted to touch any of the animals in the "touch pool".

Ladi decided to be "brave" and touch the horseshoe crab!

This past Sunday night the youth group at our church had their annual Winter Follies Fundraiser. (the money raised is helping the youth-Blake included-go to Puerto Rico for their summer mission trip.) Well poor Blake- his dad and a group of other dads got together to perform. It was NOT pretty! Lets just say they danced to "Dude Looks Like a Lady"! To see the performance for yourself go to Youtube and put in key words FBC Follies. Steven is the "lady" in the blue polka-dot dress and sun hat!
