Happy Birthday Blake!
Yesterday was Blake's 14th birthday! (of course we can't believe it!)
Sorry I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks- it has been CRAZY! My dad has been in and out of the hospital- right now he is home and trying to regain his strength. (He is still going for IV treatments everyday at the hospital so they can monitor him there.) The doctors tell us that this staff infection is a "tricky" one to get under control. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and concern for him. With that and 2 science projects, swimming, basketball games and getting back to school after the break- I have had little time to stop and write. Bryson had a swim meet this weekend in Raleigh and he did well. He improved his time in 5 of his events. Steven took him up on Sat. and I took him up on Sun. I really enjoyed having that one-on-one time with him and watching him do what he loves- swim!!!! On Sunday night we celebrated Blake's birthday. He invited 3 of his best buds over to spend the night; and of course they stayed up all night playing video games. And they still had enough energy this morning to play basketball outside!!! They are great kids and we enjoy having them over at the house. So the kids were out of school today and now they have canceled school for tomorrow because of the "threat" of snow. Ladi Elizabeth is soooo excited- she asked for it to snow in her prayers tonight! She misses seeing and playing in the snow. So maybe when she wakes up in the morning she will be surprised!
